West Coast Ambulance is an independent, growing medical transport organization with employed clinical crews across Southern California. We hire employees — not contractors. If you want stability, clinical development, and a team that invests in its people, you belong here.
Why WCA
We built this company around a simple idea: hire good people, treat them right, give them the tools to do the job well.
Stable schedules, consistent pay, and a real career path. You're an employee with benefits — not a contractor hoping for the next ping.
Cross-train across NEMT, BLS, and CCT. Advance your certifications and expand your clinical scope — we support your development at every level.
Stryker power cots, late-model vehicles, and a well-maintained fleet. You shouldn't have to fight your equipment to do your job safely.
Employed crews who work together regularly — not strangers paired on every shift. You build trust with your partner and your patients.
Five stations across three counties — Burbank (HQ), Lancaster, Baldwin Park, Orange, and Bakersfield. Potential for transfers and flexibility as your life and career evolve.
Medical insurance, dental insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and paid time off for eligible employees. We invest in our people because retention matters more than turnover.
Employee Benefits
Eligible employees receive a full benefits package — because good people deserve to be taken care of.
Comprehensive health coverage for eligible employees so you can focus on caring for patients without worrying about your own healthcare.
Dental coverage included in the benefits package — preventive care to keep you healthy on and off the job.
We contribute alongside you. Build retirement savings with employer matching — your future matters as much as your present.
Open Positions
We're hiring across multiple roles and locations. Find where you fit.
Respond to interfacility transfers, hospital discharges, and ER intakes on BLS ambulance units. Work alongside a partner crew on scheduled shifts with full ePCR documentation.
Provide wheelchair and stretcher transport for non-emergency patients — dialysis runs, discharges, facility transfers. You're the face of safe, reliable medical transport.
Staff critical care and specialty care transports for ventilator-dependent, cardiac, and ICU patients. Work with advanced monitoring equipment on high-acuity interfacility transfers.
Manage ventilator settings and airway support on CCT transports. Work alongside RNs and EMTs to ensure safe respiratory care during high-acuity patient transfers.
Operate in our 24/7 dispatch center — coordinating crews, managing trip requests, and ensuring on-time performance across all service areas.
Keep the fleet running and the stations operational. Vehicle maintenance, logistics coordination, and base station operations — the backbone of every transport we complete.
