Booking & Scheduling

How do I request a transport?
Call 800-880-0556 or email dispatch@wcambulance.com. We confirm level of care and crew assignment immediately.
How far in advance should I book?
We accept both scheduled and same-day requests. For recurring transports (like dialysis), we set up standing appointments.
Can I request a specific time?
Yes. We schedule to your requested pickup time and confirm ETA.
What information do I need to provide?
Patient name, pickup/dropoff addresses, date/time, level of care needed, any special requirements (oxygen, wheelchair type, bariatric).

Services

What types of transport do you offer?
NEMT (wheelchair, stretcher), BLS ambulance, and SCT/CCT. Everything from routine rides to ventilator-dependent critical care.
What's the difference between NEMT and ambulance transport?
NEMT is for patients who don't need medical monitoring during transport. Ambulance transport (BLS/SCT/CCT) is for patients requiring EMT or RN-level clinical care en route.
Do you provide dialysis transportation?
Yes. We offer scheduled, recurring dialysis transport with consistent crews and a 0% no-show commitment.
Do you handle bariatric patients?
Yes. We have bariatric-rated stretchers (700+ lb capacity) and trained crews.

What areas do you serve?
Los Angeles County, Orange County, and Kern County. NEMT is available in all three; BLS and SCT/CCT ambulance in LA and Orange Counties.
Are you available 24/7?
Yes. Our dispatch center operates 24/7/365.
Do you do long-distance transports?
Yes. We handle extended transfers across California and to neighboring states.

Insurance & Billing

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We accept Medi-Cal, Medicare, and most commercial insurance plans.
How does billing work for facilities?
We offer direct facility billing with net-30 terms. Contact us to set up a facility account.
What if my transport isn't covered by insurance?
We offer private-pay options. Contact our billing team for a quote.

About Our Crews

Are your crews employed or contracted?
All crews are employed by West Coast Ambulance — not gig drivers or contractors.
What certifications do your crews have?
NEMT: First Aid/CPR, wheelchair securement. Ambulance: EMT, RN, RT certifications. All crews are background checked and drug tested.
Do you have clinical oversight?
Yes. A Medical Director oversees all clinical protocols and operations.
