Lomita is a compact city in the South Bay portion of Los Angeles County, wrapped on its north and west sides by Torrance and bordered to the south and east by the Los Angeles communities of Harbor City and Wilmington. The Palos Verdes Peninsula rises to the southwest, with Rolling Hills Estates and Rolling Hills just beyond it; Carson lies to the northeast and the Port of Los Angeles and San Pedro to the south. Pacific Coast Highway (CA-1) runs east and west through the city, I-110 carries traffic north and south a short way to the east, and I-405 crosses the area to the north.

That position matters more than it looks on a map. Ambulance crews are employed licensed EMTs, registered nurses, and respiratory therapists working under Medical Director oversight. NEMT crews are First Aid/CPR certified, background checked, and drug tested.
