Specialized Transport Built for Bariatric Patients

Bariatric patients require transport equipment and crews that can safely accommodate higher weight capacities and larger body types. Standard stretchers and wheelchair vans often aren't sufficient. West Coast Ambulance provides purpose-built bariatric transport with equipment rated for 700+ pounds and crews specifically trained in bariatric patient handling.

Whether the transport is a non-emergency facility transfer (NEMT) or requires BLS-level medical monitoring, our bariatric service ensures safety, comfort, and dignity throughout the entire ride.

Availability: NEMT bariatric transport is available across all three counties (LA, Orange, Kern). BLS bariatric ambulance transport is available in LA County and Orange County only. Kern County is NEMT only.
